Renters didn't want to upload pay stubs. Linking a bank is one tap and they can revoke it after.

Hannah Lindqvist

Co-founder, Brightlane

Brightlane runs rental applications for property managers in five European countries. Income checks meant uploading pay stubs and bank statements, and half of applicants stopped there.

Brightlane now asks for read access to transactions for 30 days only, long enough to check income. When the check is done, they revoke the consent themselves through the API.

Completed applications rose from 48% to 77%. Renters see exactly what is shared and for how long, which Brightlane’s support team says has ended most of the questions they used to get.
